Sculpting to perfection...

"Every day, in every way, I'm getting better and better"
(FrenchTous les jours à tous points de vue je vais de mieux en mieux)

I might not be there yet
But I know I'm headed in the right direction
The mistakes of yesterday, the lessons of the day before
These, I translate into guidelines for the future

No more watching the world go by
Trying to live the dreams, that others have dreamt
No more sitting on the fence
Lusting after seemingly greener grass on the other side

We all strive for perfection
Each of us in a different way
The perfect job, the perfect house
The perfect family, the perfect figure

I am only human, and therefore prone to errors
I am a work in progress, but a beauty to look at
I might constantly, continuously doubt myself
But never the One, Him who created me.

There's a purpose to my presence here
Exactly, precisely, the way I am
My mould is unique, my flaws as well
And that defines me, just as I am

I might not be there yet
But I'm certainly headed in the right direction
Why do I say so?
I've got the best Sculptor, sculpting me into perfection!

Amen!
