It rained yesterday!
What a welcome thunderstorm
The raindrops splattering on the concrete driveway
The skies all dark and fearsome
I never thought I'd be this happy about rain
But this present dryness had gone on for long enough
All that heat and humidity and no drops of rain
It just made everything look so dry and rough!
So right now I do know it's time
To welcome the rain, today and every day!
I definitely know I won't be singing the nursery rhyme
'Rain, rain, go away!'
